Well here we are mid-month... seems like yesterday was Christmas! Oh, wait, for us it was! We waited to celebrate Christmas until January 7th! This is why it seems like it was just around the corner :) Tim was working until the 3rd so we opted to wait until he was home to celebrate. I finally got him his "engagement watch" - a LONG time ago before we were even engaged he was asking me why or how it came to be that women got a ring but the man got nothing, and then made the comment that men should get an engagement watch like women get a ring. TOO funny! Well 2 years into our marriage and 6 years into our relationship he finally now has one :)
I've been spending a lot of time it seems like in the dental office. Such fun... we are wanting to finally buckle down and get my teeth straight! However, since I dodged the dental office for well over 2 years I'm having to deal with some issues. I have some cavities (yay Dr Pepper...) to get filled and two teeth are just being a pain in the rear!!! I've almost had to undergo two root canals, but the two teeth seem to be playing "tag" with one another and each one responds differently every time. And I feel bad because I can't pinpoint which tooth actually hurts because they are in the same area. It is a REAL pain! (both literally and figuratively) I got out of another root canal this afternoon and my next appointment is on Feb. 2nd. Going to see how my problem teeth progress!
We are very excited because this weekend is the start of clipboard Sundays at church. We feel blessed and privileged that we were asked to lead our couples group. We have so much fun and have met some fabulous people and made fantastic friends! Such a blessing!!! We are also gearing up for another 13 weeks of Dave Ramsey's FPU! We also enjoy co-leading this with the Joiners. This is great plan, great ministry and helps SO many people with their finances!!! Another tremendous blessing to so many people!
I turned in my first paper of the semester yesterday! EEK! Can't believe I'm so motivated this time!!! Children really must change everything :) I know the next two years will be really tough with having to hold down my 40 hour a week job, taking care of a toddler and school on top but it will so be worth it! If we can time it right baby Busby #2 will make his / her debut when I have about a year or so left in school and I will be able to be at home and finishing my degree. REALLY looking forward to that! 2015 needs to get here already! :)
We went to court on Tuesday only to have a visiting DA and Judge, so we got rescheduled to July. Prayers on that day and leading up to that day are definitely appreciated!
Tim's 30th birthday is right around the corner! I'm pretty excited for his birthday! I am probably more excited than he is. I got him a great gift (well... at least I think so!), the cake is going to look fabulous I'm sure and I rented one of the semi-private rooms at D&B. Very excited! I'm sure I'll get some negative feedback from someone somewhere about it though. Basically is an invite only party since space is limited (as in 24 people max). Oh, well, cannot invite the whole world. Apologies if you get offended! I only invited Tim's best friends, family and my two best friends, and yes, that totals 24 people. I'm sure it'll be great no matter what! As long as the hubby is happy! The big 3-0!!!
