Spring is upon us!

Spring is here and Summer is just around the corner! This is my favorite time of year and I am not pregnant this year so I won't be stifling in the sun! HOORAY! Tim just came home Wednesday (early - 1am) from work... it was the first hitch they have gone back to two weeks on and two weeks off... this was the first time he was away for two weeks with Strick here. It was tough! I know Tim missed him terribly so I sent a lot of pictures! The first week was especially tough for me...Strick decided he didn't need to sleep at all that first week, maybe he knew dad was going to be gone for a while? We were on a newborn schedule for about four days, and that is just rough, but since Strick had not been sleeping well through the night for a while I was going crazy. I was pretty much at my wits-end and felt like I could not handle it anymore... thank goodness for mom in law taking him on Wednesday nights! That is my one night I am guaranteed sleep! Strick had his 9 month check up on Monday, March 21st, a little over 22lbs and I forget his height (length), but he is still in the 90th percentile for his height and weight, he is going to be big like dad for sure! He took his one shot like a champ! We had to do a blood draw ... my doctor's office checks for TB and anemia at nine months, that was rough! So glad we don't have to do that again! His next appointment will be when he is ONE - OH MY GOSH! Cannot believe that is going to be in three months! It is so crazy that all this time has flown by! Our home business is growing, slowly, but it's growing! I definitely need to focus more energy on it, and I am looking forward to doing that once the summer hits. Our schedule is pretty full right now, and I know I can dedicate more time after May. We have just learned about webinars which is going to help TREMENDOUSLY so I don't have to worry about babysitters when Tim is away. I am definitely going to start utilizing every tool I have to help us and our future. We are on a mission to save spend and give! But first, it is all about debt snowball... We have decided that moving into a new house right now is just not in the cards for us, we will probably will not pursue that for a good while. We have decided to take Dave Ramsey's saying, "live like no one else, so later you get to live like no one else" literally. We will be moving in with my awesome in-laws this April / May so we can pay down all of our consumer debt in 12 months...we may actually be able to do it in 9 or ten so say some prayers for us! After we do that we will pursue renting a small house in New Braunfels for a year or so that way we can save a lot of money for a down payment on either a house or land. We will look at our options at that point, but that is our game plan! We were a little hesitant to make this decision, but we want to lead by example for our son and for others and we don't believe in having debt (we must be weird!) We still want pretty big tangible items like a boat (Tim wants a pontoon boat) and I still want a Tahoe, but we want to do those things with NO payments. Our first major cash purchase was my car and after Tim's truck is paid we will be a cash payin' family for big items. We pretty much have always been like that... we don't have the cash - we don't buy. We also decided we will not have another baby until we are debt free so there is another motivator! Unless God has something else in store for us, Strick will be an only child until then. Anyway, lots of changes for the Busbys and we are excited / nervous / and anxious to get our new debt free life started!
